OPP Sled patrolOn February 13, Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted snowmobile patrol on area trails and highways. Officers conducted a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula, near a trail entrance and charged a snowmobile operator.

A 51 year old from Windsor was charged with operation while prohibited, section 320.18(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada. The accused must attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on March 25, 2021.

On February 13, in Georgian Bluffs, OPP officers conducted snowmobile patrol and located several snowmobile operators with open liquor on the trails. Grey Bruce OPP charged three (3) snowmobile drivers with Liquor Licence Act offences.

The OPP is committed to ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) operators, not just on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trails, but in all locations including roadways, private property and non-maintained trails.
