Grey County Ontario Provincial Police, with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI), is currently investigating a collision involving a pedestrian on Grey Road 29, Bognor, in the Municipality of Meaford. The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 8.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the pedestrian had ran onto the roadway and was struck by a motorcycle travelling northbound on Grey Road 29.

The victim, a 7 year old girl, was transported via ambulance to the Owen Sound Regional Health Centre and then airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Grey Road 29 is closed between Main Street and John Street in Bognor for the purpose of the investigation which is in its early stages.
