oppcarOn May 5, 2020 at 8:54 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a suspicious car behind a business at 6 & 21 Highway, Georgian Bluffs in Grey County.

OPP officers attended the scene and found two persons sleeping in the car. Stolen property was observed inside the car. The two occupants of the car were arrested and the vehicle was searched following their arrests. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered inside.

During the investigation officers located and recovered a stolen (white) Sport Utility Vehicle reported stolen to Grey Bruce OPP on April 29, 2020.

OPP have charged 23 year old, Luther Shipley from Owen Sound with the following offences,

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Other Drugs, section 5(2) CDSA
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance - Methamphetamine, section 4(1) CDSA
Permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle, section 12(1)(d) Highway Traffic Act

OPP have charged 20 year old, Robert Jackson from Owen Sound with the following offences,

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Other Drugs, section 5(2) CDSA
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance - Methamphetamine, section 4(1) CDSA
Permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle, section 12(1)(d) Highway Traffic Act

The accused were released on an Undertaking and are required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 16, 2020.
