A tired Owen Sound Attack team couldn't outrun the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Sunday, losing 1-0 in the last of a trio of tough weekend games.

Attack3-Mar8-featbAttack goalie Jack Flinn was steady in net, stopping 42 shots, but his teammates could only muster 17 shots on Greyhounds goalie Brandon Halverson. The play was overwhelmingly in the Owen Sound end all afternoon, with the Attack fumbling at times to get the puck out and producing turnovers. A third period energy surge by the Attack was cut short by penalty trouble as the game turned chippy.

Scoring the lone marker for the Greyhounds, who sit atop the Ontario Hockey League standings with 102 points, was Bryan Moore.

The Attack lost 3-1 on the road to Guelph Friday, then easily toppled the Saginaw Spirit Saturday 5-2, with Michael McNiven picking up the win between the pipes.

The Attack have secured a playoff position and sit in fifth place in the Western Conference, just three points behind Guelph.
