The board of the Georgian Bay Folk Society held a town hall  meeting Monday to engage the local community and to start a conversation about the direction of Summerfolk. The music and craft festival has been held in Owen Sound since 1976. 

Referencing the Stan Rogers song 45 years , Artistic Director James Keelahan highlighted that Summerfolk needs to ask these questions "so we can see yer smiling face 45 years from now".

The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre has been collecting and celebrating those stories, and they're inviting you to a fundraising concert to help them do more in this, the 100th anniversary of Owen Sound becoming a city. . .

Contest ExtendedViolence Prevention Grey Bruce has extended the deadline for submissions to the Art for Change Contest. The contest invites students in grades seven through twelve to create art about healthy and unhealthy relationships. The top three submissions in each category will receive cash prizes at an awards ceremony in Owen Sound.
