bazaarLooking for something unique?  Trinity United Church, Annan might just have the item to fit the bill.  Visit their Annual Spring Bazaar on  Friday,  May 6 (3-7p.m.) and Saturday Saturday, May  7 (9a.m.-2p.m.), which will feature: many handcrafted items – children's apparel; hats; scarves; quilts; household and kitchen accessories; shawls; blankets; baby items; soft toys; sock; slippers; baking; jams; preserves; frozen pot pies and much, much more!  Refreshments will be available and best of all admission is FREE!  Trinity United Church is located at 303234 Sideroad 23 (Municipality of Meaford), Annan.

On April 5 th and April 19 th , an original and compelling presentation Métissage: from Newash to Mudtown, Set 1, Corkscrew City and Set 2, Ring That Bell captivated the audience. Larry Jensen (musician and poet), Mary Little (visual artist), Susan Schank (historian & aboriginal hand-drummer), Richard-Yves Sitoski (poet), and Rob Rolfe (poet, labour leader) made up the ensemble.

heroesforhopeThe annual shave-offs are just getting started across the region with several school and community events kicking it off.

Since the program began in 1994, it has raised more than $51 million. This year Heroes for Hope will be hosted by Lotus Hair and Body Studio, Owen Sound on Friday May 6th from 5-7 p.m. The event is in conjunction with the 'Businesses & Organizations of Owen Sound Together' (BoOST) Fresh Friday event.

Over the years, the shave offs and going "down to the wood" so to speak, have evolved into hair dying, leg waxing, beard shaves and ponytail donations. If you would like to donate a ponytail it must be unprocessed
