art walkEight downtown galleries will open their doors from 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday June 23 for ArtWalk! Each venue will feature special exhibitions, demonstrations, art talks, guided tours and opportunities, as well a large canvas featuring a historic Owen Sound building painted by clients of Community Living, CMHA and Reach under the direction of local mural artist Billy Goodkat.

This celebration of the remarkable Owen Sound arts community will take place at 2nd Avenue Gallery (984 2nd Ave E); Gallery de Boer (upstairs, 969 2nd Avenue East); Grey Gallery (883 2nd Avenue East); Intersections WOOD Gallery & Studio (10th St at 3rd Ave E); Owen Sound Artists' Co-op (942 2nd Ave E); Santa Fe Gallery (828 3rd Ave E); Tom Thomson Gallery (840 1st Ave W) and at the Multicultural Arts Festival (at Georgian Shores United Church, 997 4th Ave E).

There is no charge to attend ArtWalk! and each venue will have a draw with a prize of a work of art or gift certificate from their gallery. Co-sponsored by Upper Canada Stretchers, Upper Canada CNC Studio, Georgian Bay Art Conservation and Grey Bruce MOSAIC magazine, ArtWalk! showcases the local artists and the businesses that support them.
