Shared with permission, including photos. This is one reason why housing is an Owen Sound issue - because policing is a City service.

Saturday, March 10

My phone was stolen last night by a local, young, drug dealer thug- a regular at Safe N Sound. All of my 30 000- 40 000 photos over the last 1.5 yrs, (still amazingly sitting on my LG Velvet android phone, with only a few system operations, hence failing) gone.

I stupidly gave said young thug my phone to move all my pix off my phone (I couldn't open gmail attachments anymore and was too tired to do this necessary storage shift myself) only for him to disappear after a few hours (all within my vigilant view) with my phone and then claim he suddenly "didn't have my phone anymore". After stating a report of my stolen phone, the Owen Sound police can't do anything about it.

Gone, from me forever and ALL my nice pix over this period of time- but decent collateral for his local, street drug habit. So no contacts anymore either, (sidebar: no laptop for 1.5 yrs) and I just discovered at Safe N Sound its 1 available desktop can not process Facebook messenger calls or vids- This will be corrected in the next few days. Most homeless persons have no cellphone, except those who deal in drugs or have drug habits.

Meanwhile- who can put me up tonight? It's freezing today/tonight. Last night I slept in the Owen Sound copshop lobby, the night before Owen Sound TD bank foyer, the previous 2 nights no sleep, beyond that very erratic. Btw, A. was arrested last night because he had no safe place to sleep in Owen Sound.

Sunday, March 11

Last night I spent the night on the staircase of the Coach Inn downtown OS. Not great but at least it wasn't outside. One homeless guy from SNS mentioned last night while we were out in search of shelter- that he discovered a 12 yo girl lying on a bench. He was able to call the police.

Followed up again today about my phone - but very doubtful about ever seeing it again- but several months ago my wallet was stolen but then returned 2 days later with nothing missing. So you never know.
