The Bruce Grey Music Hall of Fame is sending out a big thank you to the committee that hosts the popular Cargill Pickin’ by the Pond annual country music festival.

“At the 2023 festival, the group hosted a unique event that resulted in a substantial donation back to the Music Hall of Fame,” said Arnie Clark, a HOF director.

“The financial contribution was made possible thanks to the Pickin’ committee, attendees who participated and Carol Banks, Master Quilter,” added Clark.

Cyndy Abell, Pickin’ Secretary and Advertising Director, is a strong supporter of the Music HOF and its cause.

“It’s important to recognize and not forget the many entertainment legends of Bruce-Grey,” she said. “Following some very difficult times experienced by the HOF group, we wanted to show our support to help them get them re-established.”

The Pickin’ by the Pond weekend traditionally features some of the region’s top country music entertainers, plus guest artists.

The event returns in 2024, July 5th to the 7th, on the grounds of the Cargill Community Park.

The festival site offers camping, a full weekend of country music, including Sunday gospel, breakfasts and meals, a cash bar and good old country hospitality. For camping registration, contact 519.881.2202.
