sheatreThe Dementia Play is about to go on tour in Grey-Bruce... and beyond!

This lively original play with music takes an honest look at living with dementia and Alzheimer's, and it's anything but depressing. Seniors who have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's, some of them caregivers, developed the play with Joan Chandler and david sereda of Sheatre. Now the group is reaching out for more participants to add more scenes and songs to give a fuller picture of how people live with dementia.

The next rehearsals will be held in Owen Sound, beginning at the end of April, and all seniors withexperience with dementia and Alzheimer's are welcome to join.
These sessions are fun, educational and creative. There is an honourarium for participants. Contact [email protected] or call 519 534 3039 for more details.

Also, to take this show on the road, we need a project coordinator. This is a paid position:

PROJECT COORDINATOR – DEMENTIA PLAY
Temporary, occasional. The Dementia Play, a theatre production with seniors, requires someone to undertake outreach, promotions, scheduling, coordinating, reporting, travel and stage management. Computer and skills an asset. Vehicle, valid driver's license and good driving record required.
