bagladies

The Bag Ladies are having fun, come out and join us or help us with milk bags.
We save milk bags and make sleeping mats with them.

The mats are made by crocheting, weaving with a frame (we have 3 different sizes. full mat size, half mat or child size and a lap frame), weaving without a frame and crochet.

Come out and join us. We meet in the board room at the Owen Sound Library between the hours of 6:30 to 9pm on the following dates...
May 9 ,June 13, July 11, August 8, September 5, October 10, November 14, December 12.
An RSVP via email ([email protected]) would be great to help with seating.
You don't need to know how to do anything, we will teach you everything you need to know to complete your mats.

If you're interested in only saving bags for us, we would love to have them. email us and let us know you're interested and we will get you started with a drop off location and a saving box. (we use the boxes for your convenience of storage and our easy use. This also helps to keep unwanted items out of the bags. It's surprising what horrible things we have found in a garbage bag full of scrunched up bags. We are trying our best to keep our Bag Ladies safe and healthy.)
Please if you're interested in collecting bags we would appreciate it if you used our boxes and followed the instructions on the box. email us at [email protected] and let us know you're interested in saving milk bags for us.

Looking forward to seeing you at our meetings.
