adventure talks1If you love stories of travel and exploration, you’ll love ‘Adventure Talks’ at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. The five-part series features guest speakers sharing stories of their travels near and far. This year’s talks focus on Celebrations Around the World. The series kicks off on February 13 with Kerry Jarvis and ‘Celebrating the Monarch Migration’ featuring stunning photos of this beautiful phenomena.

Discover and learn about the mysterious and marvelous Monarch butterflies and their special appeal as the most celebrated insect in North America. In the spring we celebrate their return to Saugeen Shores as people of all ages enjoy their beauty and free spirit. In the fall we celebrate their arduous journey to Mexico and bid them adios. The celebrations continue in Mexico upon their arrival coinciding with Day of the Dead in November. Join Kerry Jarvis, co-founder of Butterfly Gardens of Saugeen Shores as he shares his experience, stories, photos and videos of the mysterious and marvelous monarch butterfly.adventure talks2
