Residents across Grey Bruce are ‘all in’ for a fun evening of casino games in support of local hospice palliative care.

As one of the main fundraising events of the year, the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce is hosting a fun-filled evening of high style casino fun at Legacy Ridge Golf Club on November 2nd at 7pm.

Participants will have chance to try their hand at Roulette, Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, Crown & Anchor and more with professional croupiers and tables. All games are easy to play, and no experience is necessary!

The evening will also include a caricaturist and some close-up magic.

“We at the hospice help support many residents and their families throughout the region with end-of-life care, and it is important for us to be able to continue this needed support,” says Jody Johnson, Event Coordinator, Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce. “We try to create fundraising events that are fun and engaging, while supporting this critically important cause.”

All proceeds raised will support hospice palliative care in Grey and Bruce. Although the Province of Ontario fully supports the palliative care the hospice provides, funding is only provided for nursing and personal support worker staffing. This means all other aspects such as patient meals, medical equipment and the comfort of the rooms are only possible through donation. Each year the hospice relies heavily on the community to help cover these costs and make ends meet.

“Your support will allow us to help another family in our community,” says Johnson.

Tickets are on sale now – available at Chapman House in Owen Sound or online at greybrucehospice.com/casino-night
