entrepreneurIt's well known mentorship accelerates small and medium-sized businesses and now it's available locally to Grey Bruce entrepreneurs.

In partnership with Grey County and the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre (BEC), Catapult Grey Bruce is piloting a formal mentorship program to provide local entrepreneurs with an experienced mentor to assist them in growing or pivoting their company.

"Entrepreneurs are being pulled in more directions than ever before. They are being forced to adapt quickly while leading their teams through the pandemic and navigating it in their own lives. When we are spending so much time figuring out the day-to-day, it's important to not lose sight of the big picture. Mentors can help provide that clarity and keep you accountable to making progress on your goals," said Jennifer Christie, Catapult Grey Bruce Program Development Manager.

The pilot is modelled after similar mentorship programs and builds upon the COVID-19 Recovery Program offered by the BEC earlier this fall that saw more than 16 entrepreneurs meet with a mentor or advisor. Participants will receive up to ten (10) hours of mentorship through this pilot, which will also include formal networking and skill-building resources for entrepreneurs and their mentors.

The program is available at no charge to entrepreneurs located in or operating primarily in Grey or Bruce Counties. Entrepreneurs will be matched based on their mentorship preferences and the goal(s) they hope to achieve through the program.

Applications are now available and can be submitted through the Catapult Grey Bruce website at www.catapultgreybruce.com. There is no formal application deadline but entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply in December to get the most from the six-month pilot.

Individuals interested in becoming a mentor in the program can contact Catapult Grey Bruce through email [email protected] or by calling Jennifer Christie at 226-647-1442 to learn more.
