A Strategic Plan for the Meaford Hall Arts and Cultural Centre is underway and they want to hear from you.

Meaford Hall is an iconic landmark that is steeped in rich history, arts, culture and community spirit. By participating in the Strategic Plan, the Meaford Hall Arts and Cultural Centre can continue its strong tradition within our community with public feedback at its core.

There are several opportunities to provide input. The first opportunity is a public survey that has been launched today and we invite you to participate from now until February 25th. For those that are interested, hard copies of the survey are also available at Meaford Hall, Meaford Public Library and the Administration Office, located at 21 Trowbridge Street.

In February, a series of focus groups will be held to engage stakeholders, Council and the public. The public focus group meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 16th at 7 p.m. at the Meaford Hall. Advance registration will be required due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions.

“This Strategic Plan is incredibly important to the future of Meaford Hall as well as have impact on the downtown core and wellbeing of the community over the next five years,” said Susan Lake, Manager of Cultural Services. “We look forward to input from both users and non-users of the facility to see what improvements can be made as well as ways we can continue to grow.”

The Meaford Hall Arts and Cultural Centre Strategic Plan for 2022-2027, once finalized and adopted by Council, will be used as the guiding document that outlines an action plan for future programming, marketing, customer service, facility uses and more.

Have your voice heard and participate in the survey and upcoming focus group meetings to help shape the future of arts and culture in the municipality.
