The Municipality of Grey Highlands is inviting the public to attend one of two information sessions regarding the recommendation of awarding the waste and recycling collection contract.

After evaluating proposals, staff provided Council with the recommendation to move forward with Waste Management of Canada Corporation for curbside collection of waste and recycling.

This recommendation includes a cart system beginning January 1, 2023, when the current contract ends and would phase out the current bag tag system. Additional frequently asked questions can be found online.

The sessions will be as follows:

Wednesday, August 17 at 5 p.m. at the Osprey Community Centre in Feversham; and
Thursday, August 18 at 5 p.m. at the Centre Grey Community Complex in Markdale

Residents unable to attend in person can watch the information sessions live at greyhighlands.ca/watchlive.

For more information read the staff report and recommendations.

Questions and comments can be sent prior to the meeting to [email protected].
