BROKEN-WINDOW-3

Sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on March 14th an unknown party smashed the passenger side window of a Dodge Caravan that was parked unattended in the rear parking lot at the YMCA Recreation Centre.  A purse was then stolen from the vehicle.

Then again sometime between 8:20 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. someone smashed the rear driver’s side window of a Rav 4 that was parked unattended in the south parking lot of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.  As well a purse was stolen from the vehicle.

Thankfully the smashing of vehicle windows to steal valuables contained within is not a common occurrence in Owen Sound.  It does on occasion happen; therefore vehicle owners and its occupants should use caution when leaving any valuables behind in an unattended vehicle.

Anyone with information on the above crimes is encouraged to call the Owen Sound Police at 519-376-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1–800–222–8477.
