OPPBruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers had a very busy weekend conducting traffic stops and responding to many traffic complaints made by the public.

Between the dates of Friday May 19, 2017 and Monday May 22, 2017, Bruce Peninsula OPP responded to a total of 122 calls for service. Along with responding to calls, Police issued several tickets to drivers which include:

Disobey stop sign x 3
Speeding x 30
Disobey sign x 6
Canadian automobile insurance act x 1
Drive with no licence x 2
Fail to signal for turn x 1
Fail to surrender drivers licence x 1

The Bruce Peninsula OPP will continue to enforce our local highways and roadways with zero tolerance for speeding and dangerous driving. Our roads are not your personal race track.

Police also issued a 3 day warn for impaired driving, charged a suspended driver, issued 12 liquor licence act violations and; responded to 6 assault reports, 2 domestic disturbances, multiple noise complaints, 8 motor vehicle collisions, 3 break and enters, as well as, many other violations and criminal charges.
