Lisa Leona Maas was 22 years old and 5 months pregnant when she was last seen alive on July 17th 1988, leaving a male friend's residence alone in her car after a farm house party in the area of Annan, Woodford and Owen Sound.
Her green 1976 Plymouth Fury was found two days later in Annan stuck down an impassable road, and approximately two weeks after Lisa went missing, her license and some were personal papers were located several kilometres east of the vehicle location.lisamaas
Over the course of 29 years, Lisa's parents, detective agencies and OPP have worked to locate Lisa, but no further trace of her has been found.
For the past two years, Owen Sounder Nick Oldrieve and a small group of volunteers have been  working on locating Lisa Maas and giving her family some closure. Oldrieve says, "We do believe that Lisa did pass away when she went missing and was later hidden from the community." His group is working with the full knowledge of the police, and passing along any promising leads to the authorities.
Oldrieve and the other volunteers are bringing a cadaver dog to search various locations on August 9. They are trying to raise money through GoFundMe for a reward for anyone able to lead investigators to Lisa's resting place. Their goal is $5000 from the public and donations from four businesses to bring the total to $25000 which they hope will motivate anyone with information.
The OPP continues to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Lisa Leona MAAS.
Last year, Oldrieve and his colleagues started a website called www.bringlisahome.webs.com to aid in their search for Lisa as well as to allow those with information to anonymously give tips. He says it is very simple to use - simply follow the instructions on the websites contact page if you wish to remain anonymous. You can also email [email protected] with information.
Oldrieve says that the more people who know about the search, the better - "we have very high hopes that this will be the last summer Lisa is separated from her family and friends."
Investigators urge any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Lisa MAAS to immediately contact the Director of the Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Services at 1-888-310-1122 or (705) 329-6111, or their nearest police authority. Further information of this case is available at the OPP website address: www.opp.ca.
Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
