hospitalGrey Bruce Health Services is currently accepting applications to fill two upcoming vacancies on its volunteer Board of Directors.

Board members are responsible for the overall governance, decision-making, and financial and quality oversight for GBHS and its six hospitals. To ensure GBHS continues to thrive in the ever-changing and demanding health care environment, applicants should possess strong leadership skills, and previous board experience is an asset.

The two upcoming vacancies will be filled by election for a term of up to three years, and are eligible for re-election for two additional terms.

Applicants must live within any of the catchment areas served by GBHS, which includes Lion's Head, Markdale, Meaford, Owen Sound, Southampton and Wiarton. One applicant will be elected as a member at-large, while the other will be selected as a geographic representative for the Southampton area.

The deadline to submit an application is September 28, 2018. Application forms can be accessed here, and submitted to Sarah Cunningham, at [email protected]. For application related questions, please call: 519-376-2121, ext. 2801.

GBHS is a recognized leader in rural health, with fast access to services, some of the shortest surgical wait times in Ontario, and among the highest patient satisfaction scores in the province. Our team of 1,600 staff, 250 physicians and 1,100 volunteers works together to deliver exceptional health care to residents and visitors across Grey Bruce.
