collaborationThere are winds of change emanating from the Provincial government that suggest in its effort to cut red-tape and costs to taxpayers regional government and municipalities may be under scrutiny, rationalized and realigned.

The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Baker Tilly, Professional Charter Accountants (formerly Collins Barrow of Owen Sound) are hosting a Leader’s Forum on Tuesday, February 5th, 7:15 – 9 am, at the Best Western Inn-on-the-Bay.

The Chamber will be exploring with the Mayors of Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, Chatsworth and Meaford, as well as the Warden of Grey County, on areas where they can achieve mutual cooperation and collaboration ahead of any Provincial initiative.

It is the Chamber’s position that our area municipalities and the County would be in a better position to have tackled and settled major issues that impact on efficiencies, cost savings and red-tape ahead of the Province imposing their solutions on North Grey.

The Leader’s Forum is open to the public and are encouraged to participate in the discussion.

A continental breakfast will be served, but all attendees must register at www.oschamber.com or by calling 519-376-6261, ext. 4.
