paint brushesBilly Bishop Home and Museum has acquired three Victoria Cross recipient paintings.

The Museum invites you to view the newest acquisitions beginning Thursday, April 4, 2019.

Generously commissioned by Edward P. (Ted) Horton and Joanne Horton, the three original paintings were done by Grey County artist and author Sherry Pringle. The mixed media pieces represent the moment in time when each of Owen Sound’s Victoria Cross recipients earned the highest military honour in Canada.

The paintings of Tommy Holmes, David Vivian Currie, and William Avery Bishop will be on display in the main hallway of the Museum, recently named “Hallway of Heroes”. The exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, April. 4, 2019.
