attacklogoOwen Sound faces Erie in weekend doubleheader.

For the first time since Game 5 of the 2017 Western Conference Championship Series, the Owen Sound Attack will make the trip to the Erie Insurance Arena.

Lying in wait are the 3-6-1-0 Erie Otters and a pair of games between the Midwest Division rivals.

An Owen Sound-Erie tradition, the Attack and Otters will square off at 7:00pm on Saturday, Oct. 21 and then again on Sunday evening at 5:00pm.

Following a week that saw the Attack claim victories in three games - including a 5-2 win over Erie at the Bayshore - Owen Sound currently sits at 2nd in the Midwest Division with a record of 6-1-0-2 for 14 points.

Erie, meanwhile, will enter the weekend set with a record of 3-6-1-0 and in 4th place in the Division. One of their tasks will be keeping the Attack's powerplay - operating at a league best 30.2% - in check, while also finding a way to get past the OHL's 7th ranked penalty killing unit.

Owen Sound's special team's play is due in large part to the offensive and defensive prowess of their elite players.

Vegas Golden Knights prospect Nick Suzuki leads the OHL in points with 18 in nine games of action, while also factoring in heavily on the team's penalty killing unit.

Just behind Suzuki on the league's point list is defenseman Sean Durzi, whose 17 points leads all rearguards across the OHL and has made him a dangerous player at both ends of the ice. Kevin Hancock, who broke out in 2016-17 with an 85 point season, is also amongst the league leaders with 14 points, one ahead of Erie's leading scorer Kyle Maksimovich.

Fans can watch the Attack and Erie in both games this weekend live on Rogers Local 53. The games will also be available on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS.

Owen Sound's next home game is slated for Saturday, Oct. 28 when the North Bay Battalion come to town for a 7:30pm tilt.

Tickets for that game are available at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.

The Weekend Preview is brought to you by Joe Tomato's, located next to the Galaxy Cinemas on the Sunset Strip. Fans can enjoy half priced wings and appetizers at Joe Tomato's following every Attack home game simply by showing their ticket stub.

This season of Attack Hockey is presented by Lerner's Personal Injury Lawyers and Bertrand & Muzzell Paralegal Services.
