On Tuesday, November 29th, people around the world will be participating in charitable activities marking the first day of the giving season. This day is known as Giving Tuesday. It is a global day of giving that happens each year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's a day when individuals, charities and businesses join together to celebrate giving and participate in activities that support local charities and non-profits.

The United Way of Bruce Grey is a Giving Tuesday partner and will be marking the day with a "Brown Bag Challenge". You are being asked to take up the challenge, as well as workplaces, churches, schools, community groups, service clubs and sports teams throughout Bruce-Grey to help the most vulnerable members of our community. This is a matched event, with every dollar you donate generously matched (up to $10,000) by Bruce Power.

United Way believes...Everyone matters. Everyone deserves a hopeful life. Everyone can help.

By donating your take-out coffee and lunch money and "Brown Bagging it" on November 29th, you will be helping a neighbour in need. To donate online go to Donatetoday.ca. For information and to register your workplace or community group call (519) 376-1560 or email.

Every dollar you donate stays in Bruce-Grey to be reinvested back into the community where it is needed the most. Your generous support restores hope and changes lives, moving individuals and families out of poverty and social exclusion to build a strong, healthy and safe community for everyone.
