Fridays for Future Owen Sound InstagramThe students of Grey and Bruce Counties have been listening carefully to Greta Thunburg and the messages of thousands of people around the world who have been participating in climate strikes and “Fridays for future”.  However, it is not just students who have been listening and thinking about climate change, but youth of all ages.
This Friday the Climate Action Team Youth of Grey Bruce will be hosting a Climate Change Information Night from 6:30 – 8:00pm.  Rather than a strike all ages are invited to ask questions and share their ideas on what can be done to tackle the global climate crisis.

Friday Oct 4th at the Harmony Centre, 890 4th Avenue East, Owen Sound.  No age restrictions and parents are welcome.  Snacks will be provided by The Bleeding Carrot.
The evening is supported by the film “Resilience: Transforming Our Community” created by Liz Zetlin and John Anderson, and the Climate Action Team of Grey Bruce.
Share some fresh ideas while eating fresh food to keep you and our planet healthy.Climate Action Team Youth Poster

The Grey Bruce Sustainability Network has been hosting regular gatherings at the Harmony Centre to support project development in response to climate change.  These meetings have led to the formation of the Climate Action Team Grey Bruce, whose goals are to offer meeting space and support for the discussion and development of individual and community actions/responses aimed at local adaptation to the climate crisis.  The goals of the Grey Bruce Sustainability Network are to research, promote and implement solutions to local sustainability issues.  Meetings are held monthly on 3rd Thursdays.  For more information check out their website and social media pages.
