Hanover PoliceSuspicious person investigation leads to numerous criminal charges.

On April 28th 2019 at 3:55 a.m. the Hanover Police Service investigated a suspicious male riding a bicycle in a residential neighbourhood on 13th Avenue in the Town of Hanover.

As a result of the police interaction and investigation, the male suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He was found in possession of two sets of stolen licence plates, break and enter instruments, gloves and a small amount of methamphetamine.

The Hanover Police Service has charged a 28-year old Hanover man, Travis TAYLOR, with two counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Break-in Instruments, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation.

Travis TAYLOR was held for a bail hearing and later released on bail conditions for Criminal Court in Walkerton.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact police and report any suspicious people on foot, on bicycles or in vehicles especially during the early morning hours in residential neighbourhoods.

The Hanover Police Service continues to investigate a rash of break-ins to garden sheds in residential neighbourhoods and thefts from unlocked motor vehicles.
