This September, Lookup Theatre and The Roxy Theatre will enchant audiences with a soaring display of local circus magic in Circus in Neverland. Coming to The Roxy's stage on September 7 and 8, 2018, this production will star Lookup Theatre's youth troupe, comprised of youth from Owen Sound and Grey and Bruce counties.

Designed to appeal to all ages, Circus in Neverland invites audiences to join the troupe as the fly to Peter Pan's beloved home. In a unique blend of circus acrobatics and theatre, audiences will watch as mermaids swim throughlookupneverland aerial hoops and pirates walk the tightrope and the plank.

Lookup Theatre's Founder and Artistic Director, Angola Murdoch, has been entertaining audiences with her annual Grey Bruce Youth Circus for the past eight years.

"Working with the youth in Grey Bruce is very rewarding, as their creativity is limitless," said Murdoch.

Lookup Theatre is a not-for-profit company that aims to bring theatre and circus arts to rural and urban communities across Ontario. Murdoch grew up in Grey County, attended the National Circus School in Montreal, and has brought her passion for circus back home. Lookup Theatre's work blends traditional techniques with modern technology to create inspiring and educational shows. It also places an emphasis on giving underserved youth the chance to explore and experience this art.

"Community support, performing arts and local talent: we are so lucky when these three things come together," said Matt Evans, Executive Director of The Roxy. "Lookup Theatre never ceases to amaze audiences wherever they perform."

The Roxy Theatre, owned and operated by Owen Sound Little Theatre, has a longstanding commitment to providing young people in Grey and Bruce counties with opportunities and programming in all theatre arts disciplines. A registered charity, The Roxy offers theatre camps and workshops for youth, as well as annual professional theatre for youth in both English and French.
