4thstThe Operations Committee invites you to a Public Meeting on Wednesday March 23, 2016, at City Hall, 808 2nd Avenue East, in the Council Chambers beginning at 5:30 PM.

The meeting will inform residents of the proposed change to on-street parking on 4th Street West between 2nd Avenue East and 2nd Avenue West.

Due to concerns related to the road width and through-access on the street for large emergency vehicles, especially during the winter months when snow has accumulated, a public meeting will be held to receive

courthousesouthbridge-fullThe City of Owen Sound has been notified by Southbridge Care Homes that they will not continue with their plans to redevelop the former Courthouse and Jail building.

"After an extensive review of the needs of the Owen Sound area it became clear the Courthouse location was too constrictive and would not accommodate the requirements of an expanded facility," said Southbridge CEO Keith McIntosh. "Southbridge is now pursuing a larger location in Owen Sound which will better suit a more extensive development. Southbridge continues to be committed to Owen Sound and looks forward to working with City Council to bring this project to fruition."

Southbridge explored a number of design options but were ultimately unable to accommodate the space
