A backhoe being used on private parking lot properties on Sauble Beach has sent a man to hospital.
A local citizen stood in front of one of the diggers this morning. Witnesses say while people were screaming at the driver to stop, it hit the man. EMS attended, and the man was taken to hospital. According to witnesses, he was clearly badly shaken.
On May 30th just after 11:30 p.m., Owen Sound Police responded to the 900 block of 16th Street East in relation to a male damaging provincial campaign signs. As a result of the investigation a 44-year-old Grey County resident was arrested and charged with three counts of Mischief Under $5000.00 in relation to damaging and removing several of the signs. ...
The following motion was proposed by Councillor John Tamming and passed, with one opposing vote, this evening.
"WHEREAS across municipal councils in Ontario there have been appalling instances of misogyny and hatred; and
WHEREAS the powers of the Office of the Integrity Commissioner do not include the ability to recommend expulsion of councillors; ...
From a staff report unanimously approved at tonight's council meeting: "The “Rice House” is a property at 848 1st Ave West, owned by the City of Owen Sound next to the Tom Thomson Art Gallery and has been vacant since it was temporarily used for Art Gallery administrative offices approximately three years ago.

Mr Byers had a choice: He could have said "no" to Mr Ford, that the local PC members needed to select their own candidate.
By not doing so, Mr Byers has shown his true character, that he does not believe in democracy, or it does not apply to him. This is true of Mr Ford, too, by anointing his chosen.
