Dear Premier Ford and Stephen Lecce,
I have now sat for a few days with the Ontario government’s decision regarding students’ return to school this fall and have a few questions I’d appreciate having answered.
On August 1, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a two vehicle fatal motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 16 at Concession Road 6, Chatsworth in Grey County.
OPP officers where assisted at the scene by Grey County Paramedics, Inter-township Fire Department and Chatsworth Fire Department.

Starting on August 4, eviction orders will be enforced in Ontario as the Order from the Chief Justice from March 19, 2020, placing a moratorium on residential evictions, ended on July 31.

Although Summerfolk 2020 is cancelled, the Georgian Bay Folk Society has announced a virtual Sunday night event to celebrate what would have been the 45th Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival. On August 23rd, the virtual event will be simultaneously streamed on the Summerfolk website and social media accounts, and broadcast on AM 560 CFOS.
Commenting on the Ford government’s plan to return students to school this fall, Grey Bruce Labour Council President, Kevin Smith states that the plan is underfunded and jeopardizes the safety of students, educators and all Ontarians by severely underfunding a safe return to school this September. Smith also points out that all four of the major education unions in Ontario, representing the province’s elementary and secondary teachers and education workers, are condemning the Ontario government’s plan.
