attackblack-regThe Owen Sound Attack return home after a three-game road trip and will play host to the Kingston Frontenacs and the Erie Otters this Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The arrival of the Fronts and Otters in the Scenic City also means a pair of World Junior Hockey Championship gold medallists will be skating at the Bayshore this weekend.

Kingston will be led into Saturday's contest by Lawson Crouse, currently ranked as the 4th-best skater in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft while projected first overall pick Connor McDavid will power the Otters offence on Sunday.

The two forwards were also the only underage players who suited up for Canada at the recent World Juniors, with McDavid leading the tournament in scoring having posted three goals and eight assists in seven games. Crouse contributed one goal and two assists over the course of the competition.

Nastasiuk-regThe Owen Sound Attack has named Captain Zach Nastasiuk the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 18th.

Nastasiuk led the way for the Attack on the weekend, tallying four goals and three assists, while being in on all but one of the Attack's eight goals this past weekend.

Nastasiuk led the way on Thursday in Peterborough with a goal and two assists and was also named the games 2nd star in a 3-1 win. The Red Wings prospect followed that up with another 2ndStar performance in the Nations Capital on Friday when he gathered a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss.

We have currently turned off donations on this Go Fund Me website and encourage everyone to visit to donate into a registered this registeredvTrust Fund. This was done to help deliver a consistent and cohesive message.

soccer-regOwen Sound - The City of Owen Sound and the Municipality of Meaford are pleased to announce an improvement in the minor sport registration process for Meaford residents.
Starting in 2015, Meaford residents will no longer have to wait for a refund for the non-resident user fee when registering their children for minor sports in the City of Owen Sound. Instead, residents of Meaford will only pay 10% of the non-resident user fee out of pocket – that's $10/child/sport for field/floor sports and $16.70/child/ice sport. The City of Owen Sound will track the registrations then send an invoice to the Municipality of Meaford for the remaining 90% that is subsidized at the end of the registration period.
For families with two or three children registering for one or more sports, this means lower up-front costs and avoiding the financial stress of waiting for a refund. Owen Sound and Meaford expect that this streamlined process will be a benefit to both residents and minor sport groups.
