The Cars are the Stars at the 9th annual Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance presented by Porsche, as they take to the stage and to the green, at Cobble Beach Golf Resort Community. A long-held tradition stemming from the 17th century when cars would parade through the parks of Paris, France, evolving into what we now know as a competition of elegance (Concours d’Elegance) displaying not only antiques but classic automobiles as well, for both competition and celebration.
On Thursday, August 17th, 2023 shortly after 9:15 p.m., a 44 year old Owen Sound man sustained serious injuries during an assault which occurred in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound. The victim, a local business owner, was assaulted by three Caucasian males who had attended his business and subsequently became involved in a dispute connected to the business. The assault occurred on the sidewalk area near the business known as The Curry House.

I am heartbroken and outraged by this senseless act of violence toward Sharif Rahman and one of his employees this past week. Sharif is the owner of the popular restaurant, The Curry House, and he now fights for his life in hospital. Sharif is an outstanding member of our community,
The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after receiving information that a side by side was stolen from a property in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
On August 18, 2023, at 8:05 a.m., the OPP responded to a report of a theft of a side by side. It was determined that between August 17, 2023, at 8:30 p.m., and August 18, 2023, at 7:15 a.m. that the side by side was taken from a property on Grey Road 30 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
I had lived in Owen Sound for 16 years and was told at that same spot, by a well dressed white gentleman, to go home to where I came fromat .
Owen Sound tries so hard to be the progressive small town with so much to offer anyone from anywhere as the place to live.
But there is still that white elephant in room where tragedy is acknowledged but hanging in the rafters is the word rascism
