On Sunday June 25th, Summerfolk will host the sixth installment of the monthly Music Biz Tune Up workshop series at the Bleeding Carrot in downtown Owen Sound. In demand fiddler Rosalyn Dennett and guitar/banjo wizard Rob McLaren will provide performance tips and give direct feedback on participant performances.
Working musicians rely heavily on the quality of their performances to build a fan base and propel their careers. Professional feedback can help fledgling musicians sharpen their skills and ease the transition from living room practice to big stage performance. The June 25th performance workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals and get personalized feedback.
The search is on for Owen Sound's next poet laureate. Anyone in Grey or Bruce County with a passion for poetry and a body of work, whether published or not, is welcome to apply.
