The Meaford International Film Festival (MIFF) is pleased to announce its special guest speakers for the 2020 virtual edition of the festival to accompany its four days of films.

Crompton GregMakoto Nagahisa, Writer/Director of We Are Little Zombies, will be the special guest at the film's screening. Nagahisa won the award for originality at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019, along with three other international awards.

“Being able to book international filmmakers to talk about their films is one of the upsides of doing the festival virtually; I was able to book guests that in the past would not have been able to appear at a local festival. I am thrilled that our special guests will be able to bring a level of insight into their films that is not commonly accessible to audiences,” said Anna den Hengst, Artistic Director, MIFF.

Writer/Director/Producer Greg Crompton of Canadian documentary Eddy's Kingdom will also be discussing his film at this year's festival.

Lukasz Pawlowski, Polish sociologist and political journalist, will provide insight into the film Corpus Christi. African historian and past TIFF programmer/curator Julie MacArthur will offer an in-depth look at Sudanese film You Will Die at Twenty.

Tickets cost $10 and each film is available on demand for a 48h period during the festival. A complete festival schedule as well as movie details can be found at www.meafordfilmfest.ca
