“A severed head in a bucket. A Gazillionaire with an agenda. A veteran police chief who, all things considered, would much rather be scooping ice cream than hunting down a serial killer. Welcome to Higgsfield, a small town with some very large secrets.

JennyParsonsJenny Parsons has crafted a charming and delightful tale of rural eccentricity.”
- Rob Salem, Toronto Star, Reporter

“If you move to a small town after living in a big city for a long time as a professional comedian, you better set your story about that town in a parallel universe," says author Jenny Parsons . "It’s best to make all the characters larger-than-real-life, so that when you start to kill them off, one by one, no one takes it too personally. This silly but violent fiction will bring you satisfaction while creating it; and you hope Higgsfield Follies amuses all those who
read the book - even its victims.”

Jenny Parsons enjoyed a career on stage with the Canadian comedy institution, The Second City. Her television role as the drama teacher for three seasons on the Family Channel’s “Wingin’ It” made her a surprise hit with the teens when she showed up in their actual classroom as a substitute teacher.

Since retiring as a performer, Jenny has  also spun the roulette wheel as a table games dealer; driven a school bus; and served coffee in a long-term care home. She does whatever she must to support her new habit of writing award-winning books. Higgsfield Follies is her first novel, and is available here.
