sweetwater livestream trioThe SweetWater Music Festival is offering for a limited time three SweetWater 2021 Mainstage Concerts captured during livestreams in September. People can now enjoy each concert from home at a time that suits their schedule. Tickets are on sale online for $10 per concert (excluding HST).

“We had these incredible live performances recorded and we felt it was important to share them again,” explains SweetWater General Manager Paul Eichhorn. “We know many didn’t get out to the in-person concerts and some also missed the livestream editions. This gives them a chance to enjoy these concerts and for anyone who did see them the first time out, a chance to hear the music again.”

SweetWater’s Livestream Partner CTRE has helped to bring this Livestream Redux to life and created an online hub that makes it easy for patrons to access each performance.

The Friday and Saturday Mainstage Concerts at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound had a classical music focus. For anyone who loves chamber music, they are must-hear performances. The Friday line up featured Rosebud String Quartet (Aaron Schwebel, Keith Hamm, Sheila Jaffe, and Leana Rutt), pianist Philip Chiu performing works by Britten, Braden, and Dvorak. On Saturday night, they were joined by cellist Julie Hereish and SweetWater Artistic Director Edwin Huizinga. A major highlight was the finale of the Saturday Night Mainstage featuring a powerful, moving performance of Brahm’s String Sextet No. 2 in G major, Opus 36 brought to life by six string players including Huizinga.

The Saturday Late Night Mainstage concert at Heartwood Hall with Tamar Ilana & Ventanas is also available to see again. Led by the multi-talented Tamar Ilana, they put on a high energy show featuring Mediterranean melodies, flamenco grooves, along with contemporary interpretations of ancient ballads and much more. Beyond the music, Ilana’s dance moves alone make it a must-see for all.

The Livestream Redux is available for a limited time to November 7. Your virtual ticket gives you access to enjoy the concerts anytime until the final day.
