The Library welcomes author John Wright to discuss his four novels: The Healer, Knight Haralde, The Welsh Lords and The Exiles. We'll talk about the writing and publishing process and enjoy some readings from his books. Come out and discover the stories about Riennes de Mountford and Haralde Longshield.

Wright’s books present an era where one half of the known world was in darkness and the other in a time of enlightenment, of a renaissance, and both knew little of each other. The sharp contrast between the two civilizations was a demarcation that kept each ignorant of the existence of the other. That wall was breached suddenly in a clash of cultures called The Crusades in the late 11th Century. The fiction novels by Wright explore initial contacts between the two cultures with the arrival in England by men from the East.

Writing historical fiction has led Wright down many enjoyable roads of research and he has crossed paths with numerous people who have enhanced his fields of learning, knowledge and imagination. He is currently a member of the First Writers and the Historical Novel Society.

Books will be available for purchase for $20 each.
