The Georgian Bay Symphony is running a workshop for young musicians. This workshop will provide an introduction to the skills needed to play in large and small ensembles.
Working with experienced local music teachers who are members of the orchestra, this is an opportunity to build confidence in playing with others and a chance to improve your skill on your chosen instrument. It is also a chance to meet other young musicians throughout the Georgian Bay area.
The sessions will run for two nights on Wednesday May 10 and May 17 from 5pm to 6:30 pm at Eastridge Community School in Owen Sound.
And you will have the opportunity to perform a featured work, with the group, on Saturday May 20 at the final concert of the Georgian Bay Symphony’s 50+1 Celebration Season. We would like to thank the Walker Family Endowed Fund for their support of this project.
Although the Youth Musicians’ Work Shop is free, you must register by May 8th
When: Wed May 10 and 17th from 5pm to 6:30pm (Final concert Saturday May 20th)
