With over 100 books and 30 years experience, publisher Maryann Thomas of The Ginger Press will be teaching an evening course covering everything you need to know about publishing your own book. "New technologies have provided so many new opportunities for self-publishers," she says. "It's now possible to produce and profit from your own printed book, whether it's a family history or the Great Canadian Novel."

The Self Publishing Course will cover everything from the writer to the reader; sessions will include bookediting, layout, design, formatting, printing, marketing and distribution. The four-evening course starts on Thursday, April 28 at 7:00 pm at The Ginger Press in downtown Owen Sound. Class size is limited and registrants are encouraged to bring their completed manuscript or book concept to the first class to take full advantage of the information provided. Register now ($150) at 376-4233.
