Juno-winning, Grammy-nominee Eddie Bullen and Akademia award-winning band, Coldjack, are coming to the Meaford Theatre on April 29. The double bill will feature the smooth jazz/Caribbean flavours of Eddie Bullen, with many tunes from his newly released album, Spice Island.
Although living in the GTA, Eddie can often be found playing duelling pianos in Halifax or Toronto--or on tour in China. This year has been a busy and exciting adventure for this seasoned musician.
The second half of this double-bill will feature RnB/Soul band, Coldjack, whose single, Troubled Man, hit #1 on Hamilton's Wave.fm station, was #1 on the U.K.'s Moth.fm chart for eleven weeks, and smashed the #1 spot on the Oasis music charts in California for a month.
Radio DJ Stu Berketo writes that this band features, "...tight arrangements, brilliant feel good melodies, musical hooks, dominant funky beats, and ultra-slick instrumentation...Fraser's vibrant voice is remarkably original and it is the perfect complement to the essence that is Coldjack, making one wonder if he spent his entire childhood listening to many of the classic Soul/RnB legends."
Coldjack will have special guest bass player, Juno-winning Rich Brown on its roster that night. Tickets are available from the Meaford Hall Box Office and the show starts at 7 p.m.
