Note from the Director:
"Solomon has been cancelled- Due to an unavoidable casting issue, we have to cancel the run of this show. I am thankful to everyone who's contributed to this show even if it's not going to get under the lights this time.
Bright side? Carol made really cool squirrels, and I feel like the world is better off having them in it.
If you still have entertainment dollars burning a hole in your budget, please consider going to the fundraiser linked below- or go see gashead willy, another great local show!!

Solomon, written by Mark Vigneux and directed by Riel Warrilow, is a short play in two acts – a slightly offbeat, human comedy to warm the heart. The play explores the sorrows and the joys of a family faced with unexpected difficulties, while shining a light on that brief, unsustainable moment when a conflict resolves itself. "I really enjoyed the experience of creating this story," says Vigneux. "Everything about it felt right to me – even the climactic surprise that happens towards the end. Everyone in the family is in a good place in the outcome. I know that can't last forever in real life, but that one moment is what interests me."
The character of Solomon is a wag and a warrior, a friend and a philosopher. He is irreverent and playful. He is a muse, and helps his people through some of their most difficult times. Solomon is defined by love and loyalty, and for him it's all about family. And fun.
Director Riel Warrilow, an Owen Sound native with extensive experience with Owen Sound Little Theatre, has recently returned to the city after studying at Memorial University in St. John's, where she continued building an impressive theatre resumé by directing and stage managing extensively for both amateur and professional companies. Earlier this year, Warrilow was nominated for the Emerging Artist Award at the 2017 Owen Sound Cultural Awards. When asked what drew her to Solomon, she replied, "Lifting up local playwrights and authors is what keeps our own stories vibrant."
