daffodils 4051630 640Each year we eagerly await signs that the hardships of winter are past. The sighting of the first robin, the rush of icy rivers, and the emerging tips of daffodils herald a burst of blossoms in the trees and the chorus of evening peepers that, in their turn, confirm the arrival of spring.

In May, the Paisley Concert Choir will celebrate the “Rhythm of Life”; sharing a mix of contemporary, traditional and sacred music that celebrates this exuberant, joyful time of year. Come join us!

The Paisley Concert Choir is a 50 voice choir based in Paisley, drawing choristers from numerous communities in Grey and Bruce Counties. The Spring 2019 program ranges from lighthearted fare including the cheerful “Happy Wanderer” and vibrant swinging harmonies of “Get Happy”, to moving and challenging works such as Elgar’s glorious “Lux Aeterna” and Ola Gjeilo’s stunning chorale “The Ground”. Captivating interlude performances by individuals and small groups will round out the program.

Concerts, under the direction of Linda Finlay and accompanied by Jane Siegel, will take place on Friday, May 24th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Hanover, Sunday, May 26th at 7:30 p.m. at Immanuel Missionary Church in Paisley, and Friday, May 31st at 7:30 p.m. at Georgian Shores United Church in Owen Sound.

Tickets are available from choir members or at the door before each concert. Tickets are $20. Ages 18 years and younger are admitted free of charge. For additional details, visit our website: www.thepaisleyconcertchoir.com or find us on Facebook
