Local singer-songwriter and touring musician Josh Ritchie has made CBC Music’s Top 100 shortlist for the 2020 Searchlight competition. This annual competition put on by CBC Music is designed to discover new independent musical talent. The first round consisted of a combination of public votes and a panel of esteemed judges to narrow down the wealth of talented artists to the top 100. During this next stage, from February 19 to February 25, 2020 at 3:00 PM, the public will vote again to decide the top 10.
Josh Ritchie has been fortunate enough to be selected by the public to reach the top 100 with his track Louder. Louder is the title track from Ritchie’s debut album released in August 2019. Since then Ritchie has put some miles on the tune, making it part of every show in his touring of southern Ontario in late 2019. The track has also remains Ritchie’s most listened to song on Spotify and Apple Music since its release. Louder is the focal point of Ritchie’s excellent debut record.
From now until February 25th you can have your say who makes the top 10 of CBC Searchlight 2020.
