The Mile Drive Trail at Harrison Park is closed effective today, Tuesday, November 17 for construction.
The Mile Drive Trail is a popular and heavily used link within Harrison Park for walking, fitness, and cycling. Following the City's Recreation Parks and Facilities Master Plan, and the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, this trail is receiving drainage improvements and asphalt resurfacing to improve accessibility, reduce ongoing maintenance and improve year-round access for park visitors and trail users. Work will begin on November 17 and is expected to be complete by December 5.
The closure is indicated on the map in red. Trail users are advised to use alternate walking routes through the Harrison Park Campground, indicated on the map in green.
Approved as part of the 2020 capital budget, the Mile Drive Trail project is being completed for $100,000.
