In early 2020, the Stobbe Park Community Garden Collective approached the City of Owen Sound with a request to establish a community garden site at Stobbe Park, located on 5th Avenue ‘A’ West. The Park is an identified location in the City’s Community Garden Policy.

· In October 2020, report CS-20-12 Stobbe Park Community Garden Request and Transition of Use was presented to the Community Services Committee regarding the request.

· To accommodate public input during the current provincial Covid-19 restrictions, a video presentation, the Community Gardens Policy, background staff reports, and public survey respecting the Community Garden proposal for Stobbe Park can be found on the City’s Community Gardens website or by looking for this tile on the City’s homepage: 

The video presentation and public survey are available until February 12th,2021 at 4:00pm. Residents who live within 150m of Stobbe Park have received a direct mail that outlines the project and the request for public input.
