As snow continues to fall this winter, the City would like to remind the public about the guidelines for snowmobile usage within the City of Owen Sound.
As per the City’s Operation of Motorized Snow Vehicles By-law No. 1976-027 and the City’s Parks By-law No. 1992-014, the following regulations apply to snowmobiles:
No person shall operate a snowmobile:
· Within the City of Owen Sound between the hours of 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. daily;
· Within one-half-mile radius of any church or synagogue within the City of Owen Sound during a worship service;
· On any sidewalk;
· In the downtown core; and
· In any park or in any area of any park except those areas of parks designated by the City as outlined on this trail map.

There are more than 3,600 km of groomed trails in the region. Four established trails pass through Owen Sound: the Bruce Peninsula Tour (193 km), the Queen’s Bush Tour (185 km), the Saugeen River Tour (263 km), Walter’s Falls Tour (142 km).
