TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Owen Sound intends to dispose of the following municipal properties:

a. Owen Sound Courthouse, legally described as PT LT 5 E/S BAY ST, 15 W/S HILL ST

16 E/S BAY ST PL OWEN SOUND AS IN R75241, EXCEPT R389367, S/T & T/W R75241, T/W R389367; OWEN SOUND being all of PIN 37055-0073 (LT) and municipally known as 1235 3RD AVE. E, as shown on the hatched portion of the Key Map below.

b. Owen Sound Jail, legally described as PT LT 5 E/S BAY ST, 16 E/S BAY ST, 15 W/S HILL ST, 16 W/S HILL ST PL OWEN SOUND PT 1 16R10312; CITY OF OWEN SOUND being all of PIN 37055-0267 (LT) and municipally known as 1259 3RD AVE. E., as shown on the solid portion of the Key Map below.

City Council proposes to dispose of the two properties listed above through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process for the purpose of re- development. Public comments regarding the City’s intent to dispose of municipal property will be received by City Council at a meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers  on July 19, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. or so soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.

Written submissions may be provided to the City Clerk at the address below on or before 4:30 p.m. on June 21, 2021. All submissions will be considered by City Council in public and will form part of the public record which is published on the City of Owen Sound’s website. The personal information provided with the submissions is collected under the authority of
the Municipal Act, 2001 and will be used by members of City Council and City of Owen Sound staff in their review of this matter.
