Owen Sound Mayor Boddy has called for flags to be lowered to half-mast at all municipal buildings to honour and remember the 215 First Nation, Métis, and Inuit children discovered on the grounds of the Kamloops Indian Residential School in Tk’emlups te Secwépemc territory.
This is a reminder to continue to find truth and reconciliation.
Flags will remain lowered until sundown Wednesday, June 9, representing one hour for each of the 215 children.
