The City of Owen Sound is undertaking a study to look at transit in the city. The transit Optimization Review process will look at the existing transit service delivery model and identify areas of improvement to optimize the current transit system.
This study will look at the City’s existing fixed-route system, including route coverage, route ridership, on-time performance, infrastructure perspectives, and other elements to support the core service delivery of transit.
The City is seeking input into the ideal transit system for the City of Owen Sound.
This study will involve a two-part engagement process, which includes two rounds of virtual Stakeholder and Public Engagement sessions and an online questionnaire.
The City would like to hear from the community through a questionnaire to help inform the study.
Do you currently use transit or want to use transit more? What are some challenges using transit? Do you think it is important to improve transit in Owen Sound? We would like to hear from you through our first questionnaire, which is available until July 5: http://www.surveymonkey.ca/r/OStransit
You may also answer the questionnaire on the phone by calling this phoneline: +1-226-908-0233 or using the QR code transit questionnaire.
If you wish to provide comments or feedback, you can also email [email protected] with your full name, email, and address, including your postal code. If you want to learn more about this important project, the website can be found here: www.owensound.ca/en/city-hall/transit-study.aspx
Results of the questionnaire will be used to assess the current transit system and help the City develop better solutions to improve transit in Owen Sound.
