The first of the 2021 Canadian Census data is out, and Owen Sound's population is reported as  21 612 - a change of +271 (1.3%) over the past five years.

The population of Owen Sound was recorded at 21 341 in the 2016 Canadian Census, and was recorded at 21,688 in the 2011 census - a change in population of -347, which was a decline of -0.32% in those five years.

Since 2016, Canada's population has grown 5.2% to just under 37 million; Ontario's population has grown 5.8% to 14.2  million.
